If you saw the TikTok trend we did at the end of last year, you can only imagine how💜precious💜it was to watch high school seniors collaborate with their pre-k counterparts in real life! Here's to a new year with new adventures for us all and to always remembering that🐬Angie Debo🐬will forever be a place to call home! Need a little Motivational Monday to get yourself ready for the upcoming school year?👀Look👀no further! We're channeling the🎉energy🎉that our whole building brought out for Special Olympics! Last year, our Special Olympians got to participate in events on our campus! ...so in addition to a🏆victory lap parade🏆, they got to show the whole school their grit, determination, and skill on and around our brand new walking track! Lexie, Lydia, Nellie, and Owen spent the day walking in the👞shoes👠of our favorite administrators, and it’s safe to say, they rocked it! 🙋‍♀️ Raise your hand🙋if your student wants to be Principal for a Day! Another day, another✨throwback✨! How about when our whole school surprised Mrs. Williams with a😴National Sleepover Day😴celebration! Throwback number three goes out to our second semester✨Dynamic Dolphins✨! There's a long list of reasons to love🐬Angie Debo🐬, but at the very top of that list is the fact that we have the most incredible students! From generosity to leadership and everything in between, we've got no shortage of incredible, young humans in our building already finding ways to make a💜positive impact in their world💜. Our next throwback had to go to our incredible Special Education❤️Friendsgiving❤️! Not only was this the first year to have an all-out celebration in the cafeteria, but in true A.D. fashion, the invitation was extended to 👧 Belonging Buddies👦 for the first time! A true testament to our commitment to inclusion, these pictures are proof that 🐬everyone truly belongs at Angie Debo🐬and that inclusion is not only a best practice but a necessary and beneficial practice for all of our students! Did you know that our administrators are headed back to school today for their first contract day of the🍎'25-'26 school year🍎?

With that in mind, we wanted to show Mrs. Williams a little bit of 💜love💜with a principal appreciation throwback!

Back in the spring,🐬our whole Dolphin family🐬, from faculty to students and their parents, spent a week showering Mrs. Williams with homemade cards and all of her favorite treats to thank her for all that she does for our school!

If you haven't already heard, Miss Bell became a Missus right after school was out, and she decided to kick off her wedding weekend with💍a special A.D. wedding ceremony and reception💍! No one loves bigger than our🐬Dolphin family🐬,and they showed up in a real big way and showered Miss Bell and her fiancé, Jacob, in love and, of course, 🎉confetti cannons🎉! Thanks to👏Mrs. Cunningham and Smiletime Photo Booth👏for documenting all of the fun! And👀peep👀all those little Dolphins✨dressed to the nines✨!

After a brief hiatus, WE'RE BACK! ...from our inaugural🇺🇸Washington D.C.🇺🇸field trip! Mrs. Beke and Ms. Hale were so excited to take our🐬recently graduated fifth-grade Dolphins along with some sixth-grade former Dolphins🐬on a trip to explore all things America! Students and adult chaperones visited: 🔴Mt. Vernon ⚪️Williamsburg 🔵Jamestown 🔴International Spy Museum ⚪️U.S. Capitol 🔵Korean War Memorial 🔴Lincoln Memorial ⚪️Vietnam Memorial 🔵Arlington National Cemetery 🔴Arlington House ⚪️Smithsonian National Museum of American History The🇺🇸rich historical fabric of our nation🇺🇸is enough to start anyone, even kids, on their own path of civic engagement! We know our A.D. family is the best around, so it was a🧠no-brainer🧠decision to facilitate some extra Dolphin time over the summer break! From traveling via the Will Rogers World Airport together to learning together to staying at the Great Wolf Lodge together and everything in between, we are so grateful to have had this experience! 🖐️Raise your hands🖐️if you're ready to go next summer! School's (almost) out for☀️Summer☀️! Today's the day - our high school🎓seniors🎓are graduating! Last week, we were elated to host our former Dolphins for a little🎉graduation celebration🎉! Graduates shared some of their favorite elementary school memories, visited the library to see their class's fifth-grade ceiling tile, chatted with former teachers, and enjoyed a little recess time! 👏Congratulations, Class of 2025!👏Go out into the world and do great things! And remember,🐬once a Dolphin, always a Dolphin🐬! We'll always be right here cheering you on from afar!

This year's Teacher Appreciation Week was truly🪐out of this world🪐! In addition to some of the most sweet and sincere gifts from kids and families, the always-thoughtful Angie Debo PTO showed us💜ALL THE LOVE💜with a week of goodies including Sonic drinks, Poblano Grill lunch, room service treats, a breakfast buffet, a gift card goodie bag! But even better than all that, the week culminated with a poster of meaningful messages and✍️autographs✍️from our sweet classes! We love our🐬Dolphin🐬community! Pinkies up, everyone! On Friday, our kindergarteners hosted a🫖Mother’s Day Tea🫖for the special ladies in their lives! From tea and treats to videos and questionnaires to handmade crafts,💜our Dolphin moms were showered in love💜! We hope you all spent some time making yesterday TEArrific for the moms (and all the people who hold a maternal significance) in your lives! Did you get a pic with your mom? Who doesn’t love a #tbt? Remember National Assistant (to the) Principal Day? Not only did our families contribute to a day full of❤️love and appreciation❤️for Mr. Goodrich, our faculty did too! We know Mr. Goodrich never misses a dress-up, and we’ve noticed he goes ALL OUT for🧦silly socks🧦! …So we thought a Scott Socks day would make for the most 🎉quintessentially Mr. Goodrich celebration🎉! Have you ever🤔wondered🤔how to write a book? Well, our Dolphins were visited by Oklahoma author, Tammi Sauer, and got to learn all about the ins and outs of publishing! Turns out it’s all about✍️writing✍️and lots and lots of REVISING! Mrs. Sauer not only shared some of her favorite📖stories📖, but she also did activities with each grade level to bring words on the page to life! The hunt is on…the 🥚egg hunt🥚, that is! Our faculty and staff were treated to the Annual A.D. Egg Hunt this morning, and there was a lot on the line! With prizes ranging from candy to a trip to OnCue to late in and early out, there was no shortage of 😀happy faces😀 in our building this morning! It’s always a great day to be a🐬Dolphin🐬, but today it’s an egg-cellent day!

Have you👂heard the news👂?! Our very own first grader and burgeoning author, Quinn Noel, was recently recognized as the🥇First Grade Winner🥇of the Edmond Mayor's Essay Contest! Participants were asked to write about their favorite thing about Edmond, and Quinn chose to write about📚local bookstore, Best of Books📚!
