School's (almost) out for☀️Summer☀️!
While a lot of us are excited for our🐬last day of school🐬, we have one faculty member that might be a little more excited than the rest of us!
🎉Mrs. Via is celebrating her final last day of school tomorrow!🎉
To commemorate her time at Angie Debo and her dedication to the field of education, we thought we'd do a little "Journey with Jane: Mrs. Via through the Years"📷photo dump📷!
Let's show Mrs. Via some love in the👇comments below👇and wish her a happy retirement!

Today's the day - our high school🎓seniors🎓are graduating!
Last week, we were elated to host our former Dolphins for a little🎉graduation celebration🎉!
Graduates shared some of their favorite elementary school memories, visited the library to see their class's fifth-grade ceiling tile, chatted with former teachers, and enjoyed a little recess time!
👏Congratulations, Class of 2025!👏Go out into the world and do great things!
And remember,🐬once a Dolphin, always a Dolphin🐬! We'll always be right here cheering you on from afar!

This year's Teacher Appreciation Week was truly🪐out of this world🪐!
In addition to some of the most sweet and sincere gifts from kids and families, the always-thoughtful Angie Debo PTO showed us💜ALL THE LOVE💜with a week of goodies including Sonic drinks, Poblano Grill lunch, room service treats, a breakfast buffet, a gift card goodie bag!
But even better than all that, the week culminated with a poster of meaningful messages and✍️autographs✍️from our sweet classes!
We love our🐬Dolphin🐬community! And we'd say the feeling is mutual based on how incredible last week was!
Show your teachers some love in the👇comments👇below, and if you have any pictures, we'd love to see them!

Pinkies up, everyone!
On Friday, our kindergarteners hosted a🫖Mother’s Day Tea🫖for the special ladies in their lives!
From tea and treats to videos and questionnaires to handmade crafts,💜our Dolphin moms were showered in love💜!
We hope you all spent some time making yesterday TEArrific for the moms (and all the people who hold a maternal significance) in your lives!
Did you get a pic with your mom? Post it in the👇comments below👇!

Who doesn’t love a #tbt?
Remember National Assistant (to the) Principal Day? Not only did our families contribute to a day full of❤️love and appreciation❤️for Mr. Goodrich, our faculty did too!
We know Mr. Goodrich never misses a dress-up, and we’ve noticed he goes ALL OUT for🧦silly socks🧦!
…So we thought a Scott Socks day would make for the most 🎉quintessentially Mr. Goodrich celebration🎉!
If you want to see the full collection of Scott Socks, swing by his office where they’re now all on display!

Have you ever🤔wondered🤔how to write a book?
Well, our Dolphins were visited by Oklahoma author, Tammi Sauer, and got to learn all about the ins and outs of publishing! Turns out it’s all about✍️writing✍️and lots and lots of REVISING!
Mrs. Sauer not only shared some of her favorite📖stories📖, but she also did activities with each grade level to bring words on the page to life!
Let’s give Mrs. Sauer some A.D. love in the👇comments below👇, and if you haven’t already checked out one of her books, you can of course catch them at the library but also at Best of Books (a recommendation from our very own award-winning author, Quinn)!

The hunt is on…the 🥚egg hunt🥚, that is!
Our faculty and staff were treated to the Annual A.D. Egg Hunt this morning, and there was a lot on the line! With prizes ranging from candy to a trip to OnCue to late in and early out, there was no shortage of 😀happy faces😀 in our building this morning!
It’s always a great day to be a🐬Dolphin🐬, but today it’s an egg-cellent day!

Have you👂heard the news👂?!
Our very own first grader and burgeoning author, Quinn Noel, was recently recognized as the🥇First Grade Winner🥇of the Edmond Mayor's Essay Contest!

Let's give Quinn some A.D. love in the👇comments below👇, and be sure to check out her essay. If you haven't already been, it will make you want to visit Best of Books, and if you have already been, it will get you excited to go back!
👏Way to go, Quinn!👏

It was a big day at The Debo today as we got to meet new ✴️EPS Superintendent, Dr. Josh Delich✴️and show off our building!
Dr. Delich got to see our CARE room, he visited with faculty, staff, substitutes, and students, and he even got a little🐬A.D. merch🐬!
We know that💜our school is a beautiful little microcosm💜of all the good and potential that exists in Edmond, and we were happy to dote on our community and all the amazing individuals that make it what it is!
Let’s give some warm welcomes and well-wishes to Dr. Delich in the👇comments below👇!

Today we celebrated Assistant (to the) Principals’ Week and the best AP we know - 💜Mr. Goodrich💜!
Our Dolphin families donated a ton Mr. Goodrich’s favorites to send him on a 🕵️♂️special scavenger hunt🕵️♂️ around the building that culminated with a family picnic!
Whether it’s hosting announcements, coming up with a new celebration for extraordinary efforts and achievements, activating calm for others around him, or just generally being an all-around great guy - 🐬Mr. Goodrich is the kind of person that makes our building a better place🐬!
If you haven’t heard it yet today, ❤️we love you, Mr. Goodrich❤️, and we’ll see you in the halls!
Check out some highlights of today, and show Mr. Goodrich some love in the👇comments below👇!

You know what they say -🐤the early bird spilled the beans🫘!
Wait, no, that doesn’t sound right…
Well while we’re over here celebrating 🎉Idiom Day🎉, we might as well add a new word to our vocabularies!
Did you know that a malaphor is a mashup of two or more idioms or phrases that results in a NEW nonsensical or amusing expression!
Can you guess today’s idioms, and can you combine any to create your own malaphor? Let us know in the👇comments below👇!

Remember the ⛳️putt putt⛳️ course Ms. Ashcraft set up for Read Across America Week?!

Our feed has been filled with 🥶chilly🥶 news updates lately, so we thought we could warm it up with some sweet little images of our 🐶furry🐱 friends!
Can you guess which 🐬Dolphin🐬 these cute, little, fur babies belong to?
The first correct guess for each furry friend will get a special 📣shoutout📣!

Punxsutawney Phil wasn’t joking around when he predicted six more weeks of winter this year, but if we’re going to get that🌨️precipitation🌨️ we’d prefer good, wholesome packing snow!
So with next week’s 🥶low temps🥶 and chances for snow in mind, here’s a little TBT to celebrate the kind of winter days we love - snowy ones!

Because of continued isolated icy roads in parts of our district as well as slick and dangerous parking lots and sidewalks, Edmond Public Schools will move to remote learning for all schools for Thursday, February 13th.
Students should refer to information sent by their school site for assignments that will need to be completed for attendance to be counted.
Based on the current forecasts, we plan to be back to in-person school on Friday.

Today was a 🏀SLAM DUNK🏀for our second-grade Dolphins!
The Rolling Thunder Book Bus stopped by our school, and our second graders got to choose a free book and meet two very special guests - Oklahoma City Thunder’s ⚡️Adam Flagler and Nikola Topić⚡️!
Check out some of the📚 titles📚 that our little readers picked below!

Because of the predicted freezing rain creating poor road conditions overnight, Edmond Public Schools will move to remote learning for all schools for Wednesday, February 12th.
Students should refer to information sent by their school site for assignments that will need to be completed for attendance to be counted.
Updated to reflect correct date.
