Hi Dolphins! The reason I want to share this quote is because this quote is something I say to myself every day when I wake up. It relates to me a lot because I’m always happy! 

Okay, you caught me. I’m not always happy - remember, I’m human too, so I have emotions! But the reason I relate to this is because if I’m experiencing any negative emotions, I remember this because I know when I am happy, it is very hard to upset me!

If you're like me and you experience negative emotions (you should because it's human nature) here are some ways to control them positively and safely!

Breathing helps me calm down when I'm upset, anxious, or scared. (Always remember, being scared, anxious, or upset is COMPLETELY normal!) Everybody can learn to control emotions, you just have to practice! For example, breathing or taking a break can calm you down if you're feeling any strong emotions. 

Other techniques could be: listening to music, drawing, playing outside, or doing something you like can help with this too! But if you don't want to go to a Safe Place, first try telling yourself some affirmations.

No matter what, never take your anger out on anyone! You may be very angry, but when people try to help you, don't lash out at people; it is not safe, responsible, or respectful.
