I was honored to return to the Angie Debo family this Summer as we prepared for the 2018/2019 school year! In my previous experience as an Assistant Principal at Angie Debo, I fell in love with the collaborative environment, the passion and commitment of the entire staff, and the inspiring potential of our children and their families. I am humbled by the opportunity to be a part of this team, and I take pride in building on the tremendous foundation already in place at Angie Debo.
I was born and raised in Altus, Oklahoma. I maintain extremely close relationships with my parents, Terry and Barbara, and my older sister, Taylor – I talk to each of them daily.
After high school, I earned a cheerleading scholarship to the University of Oklahoma where I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and made unforgettable memories on the Sooner sidelines. After graduation, I began my teaching career in Putnam City.
I attended graduate school at Oklahoma City University and was once again able to leverage cheerleading into a great education. I graduated OCU with a Master’s in Counseling and participated in three Collegiate Cheerleading National Championship runs. During my time at OCU, I became a Counselor at Cross Timbers, and realized an interest in building my career towards administration. I began to work on my Master’s in Educational Leadership at the University of Central Oklahoma, and less than three years later I landed at Angie Debo as an Assistant Principal. There is simply not another building where I’d rather begin my life as a Principal – this is a dream come true for me.
My husband Drew was born and raised in Edmond. He’s been around educators his entire life, as his mother Kim was a teacher in Edmond for 23 years. Drew graduated from Edmond North, received a baseball scholarship to Georgetown University, and earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration. We have recently planted our roots here in Edmond. Drew and I have two furry children, Pippa (Yorkie) and Brick (French Bulldog). We enjoy spending time with our families, especially our three nieces, Belle, Claire, and Eva Louise, going to Sooner sporting events (Boomer!), and traveling.
I look forward to  forming relationships and fostering a collaborative culture at our school. In my mind.  It is my hope that, as a team, we can share ideas, focus on our students, and build a bright future.
